Romans 12:6

Do you like to read out loud?   Perhaps you have leadership skills.  Are you a creative type?  Do you enjoy working with kids? Whatever your skills, there is someplace in the Church where you can share them with others.  Please check out the list below.

If you are interested, please contact the Church office.

  • Ushers

Ushers welcome people to service, collect the offering and maintain the flow of people during communion, as well as other duties as needed.

  • Dramatic Scripture readers

Each Sunday, we gather a group of folks who bring the scriptures to life, pairing their voice with various parts of the narrative text. All ages are welcome to participate. Contact Helen S. if you'd like to try it out.

  • Communion servers

By becoming a communion server, you are able to offer this symbol of God's grace to others in our congregation.

Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life.  Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.  John 6:35

  • A/V (audio/video) Team

The A/V Team is responsible for the presentation of the weekly service on the overhead TV screens in the Sanctuary.  They may also be asked to run presentations for weddings, funerals or other events.

  • Church Council

Church Council is the core leadership team of the TLC community which listens together for the Spirit's movement calling us outside of ourselves. They spark ideas and invite others to help implement them, as well as oversee building and grounds maintenance, finances, personnel, and administration.

  • sunday coffee and conversation

Following worship the TLC community gathers in the Community Hall for conversation over coffee, tea, finger food, and baked goodies.  On special occasions, there is even cake!   A rotating roster of people take care of making the coffee/tea and bringing a snack, as well as the clean-up afterwards.

  • TLC kids' camp

If you like working with kids, helping them grow as people, nurturing their faith, leading games or working on community projects together, this is a wonderful opportunity.  Each year, the camp has a different theme.  And - it's just plain fun! Contact Linda B. to get involved.

  • Esl conversation partners

You don't need to be a teacher or have a certificate that says you can teach English.  All that's needed is a willingness to talk with a newcomer , encouraging them to learn this wonderful, complex language of ours.  Maybe they will even teach you some of their native tongue! Contact Diane P. to get paired up.

  • quilting & knitting

The TLC Quilters & Knotty Knitters groups both meet each Monday.  Great chance to build new friendships, practice English, or learn how quilt or knit. The quilts are donated to local hospitals and globally to refugees. Knitted prayer shawls are gifted to folks struggling with life transitions.
