  • sunday coffee & conversation

Following worship, the TLC community gathers in the Community Hall for conversation over coffee, tea, finger food, and baked goodies. On special occasions, there is even cake!

A rotating roster of people take care of making the coffee/tea and bringing a snack, as well as the clean-up afterwards.

  • TLC kids' camp

If you like working with kids, helping them grow as people, nurturing their faith, leading games or working on community projects together, this is a wonderful opportunity. Each year, the camp has a different theme, and…it's just plain fun!

Email the office to get involved.

  • Esl conversation partners

You don't need to be a teacher or have a certificate that says you can teach English. All that's needed is a willingness to talk with a newcomer, encouraging them to learn this wonderful, complex language of ours. Maybe they will even teach you some of their native tongue!

Email the office to get involved.

  • SEW-CIAL sewing group

A sewing group for people of all ages — anyone that would like to sew with others. Bring your sewing machine, any projects, and a coffee and a snack.

Join us Friday evenings from 7:00 – 9:30pm.

    Any questions please email Lisa.

  • TLC Quilters

In 2011, a small group of women, who truly enjoyed sewing and wanted to make a difference, decided to revive the TLC Quilters group. There had been a group in the 1970s and 1980s — a time of polyester fabric, fluffy batting and way before rotary cutters, plastic rulers and computerized sewing machines! While the technology and techniques have changed over time, the enthusiasm of the group has not. Now, the repertoire of items sewn includes not only quilts, but table runners, bags, casserole carriers, aprons and Christmas stockings.

Through generous donations of fabric from people, from both within and outside the church, the group has been able to make quilts for CLWR for shipment overseas, raise funds for the CLWR "Gifts from the Heart" program, raise funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Vancouver Children's Hospital and Pregnancy Options in Surrey, BC, and make baby quilts, which have been donated to both Pregnancy Options and the Fraser Valley Quilters' Guild (for their program of giving to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Vancouver Children's Hospital)

The TLC Quilters meetings are listed on our Events . You are welcome to come and join in the fun. All you need is a serviceable machine, basic sewing supplies and you enthusiasm!

  • knotty knitters

In 2016, about a dozen ladies started a prayer shawl ministry, which is expanding and now includes other items such as scarves and dish cloths.

The Knotty Knitters meet along with the quilters. Even if you have never knitted before, someone can show you how. There is good fellowship and lots of laughter. Bring your knitting needles, some inexpensive, soft yarn and a lunch.

Knotty Knitters meet Mondays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at TLC.
